What we mean by "personal injury"
If you were hurt because of someone else's negligence — a car wreck, a fall in a store, a hit on the job — you have a personal injury case. The medical side and the legal side run on parallel tracks, and Dr. Ngo handles the medical track properly so the legal track has what it needs.
Why see a chiropractor right after an accident
Three reasons, all of them important:
Your body needs it. Soft tissue and spinal injuries get worse the longer they go untreated. The first 72 hours are the highest-leverage window — early treatment shortens recovery and reduces the chance of chronic pain.
Your case needs it. Insurance adjusters use treatment gaps against you. If you waited two weeks to see a doctor, they'll argue you weren't really hurt. Same-week documentation protects your claim.
The ER won't catch it. Emergency rooms are built to rule out life-threatening injuries — broken bones, internal bleeding, concussion. They are not built to diagnose and treat whiplash, disc injuries, or soft tissue damage. That's chiropractic.
What we treat after an accident
- Whiplash and neck strain
- Headaches and migraines
- Mid-back and low-back injuries
- Herniated and bulging discs
- Sciatica and nerve pain
- Shoulder, hip, and knee pain
- Numbness and tingling
- Post-concussion neck issues
What treatment looks like
Visit one is evaluation. History, exam, posture and range-of-motion testing, neurological screening, imaging if needed. Dr. Ngo tells you exactly what she found and lays out a plan.
Subsequent visits combine spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, decompression where appropriate, and rehab exercises. Most accident patients are seen 2-3 times a week early on, tapering as you heal. A typical recovery runs 6-12 weeks depending on severity.
Throughout treatment we document everything. Your attorney gets clean, thorough records.
Working with your attorney
We work with most Houston PI attorneys. If you already have one, we'll coordinate directly — they'll send a letter of protection, we'll send treatment records and narrative reports as the case develops.
If you don't have an attorney yet, we can refer you to several we trust. You're not obligated to use anyone we suggest — it's just to get you started.
"I can't afford this right now"
You don't pay out of pocket. With a Letter of Protection (LOP) from your attorney, your treatment is paid out of your settlement at the end of the case. No cash up front, no insurance copay, no surprise bills.
If you don't want to involve an attorney, we accept auto insurance medical payments coverage (Med Pay), health insurance, and self-pay.
Don't wait. Same-day or next-day appointments usually available for accident patients. The sooner you're evaluated, the better — for your recovery and for your case.
Truck and 18-wheeler accidents
Commercial truck wrecks involve forces no passenger vehicle can absorb. Even at low speeds, the size mismatch causes serious spinal compression injuries, herniated discs, and traumatic whiplash that often takes longer to heal than standard auto accidents. We've handled hundreds of these cases over 18 years.
Slip and fall
Slip and fall injuries are often worse than they look. The body twists in unexpected ways trying to catch the fall, leading to back, neck, and joint injuries that don't show up immediately. Documentation matters here — premises liability cases lean heavily on early medical records.
Workplace injuries
Lifting injuries, repetitive strain, slips on wet floors, falls from ladders. We accept Texas workers' comp and handle the paperwork directly with your employer's carrier so you can focus on recovering.
Sports injuries
Strains, sprains, overuse injuries from training, impact injuries from contact sports. Adjustments combined with soft tissue work and rehab to get you back to your sport without re-injury.
